See The Good

GOD  does
See The Good
In all of us
It is with him
I trust
With my faith
and my heart
He is my choice
In my life
That through GOD
I can
See The Good
In him also
That he cares
For everyone
Without limits

THE ANCIENT FLOCKS OF WILSON STREET

 They flock
to the park
cloaked in black,
perched on benches in the Winter sun,
the bills of their ball caps, like beaks, dip in and out.

Like grackles
surrounding bread crumbs,
the ancient Armenians
ease their emotional baggage
too young to remember
but old enough to recall those
who lived through
or died from
the Turkish carnage.
Surrounding the tables
filled with scattered dominoes,
on Christmas eve,
the old men chatter
about the old country
and its new destruction,
moving and
connecting
the ivory bones
with brittle fingers.

This little plot is now
their patch of earth,
and as
territorial
as the chastising mocking birds,
they chase strangers
    from the grounds,
children
    from weathered monkey bars.

Broken Strings

Broken Strings

This string is my bond, my knot till i rot.
As thin as it is, my love will not break.
Feeling the shakes & never ending mind aches.
This will leave a knot in my life.
Drawn tight, ornament made into a cluster of lumps.
The bond has been cut, trust flew in the dust.
My love stands straight, I know my day will rise were the sunshine will break the dark haze covering my maze.

Dark sky's cover tomorrow's horizon
Night will fall on us like a shrill blade
O' the pain
Heart aches from past memory's
or are the dreams
to real to be so it must be
Why should we hide?
You know your going to die
Or am I dead & this is a dream
for me to play & do as I say?
Come now don't be fooled
if so then I would rule
not it that rules me
But I wonder why cannot we fly
is it that we cannot control true freedom
i know why the caged bird sings
same as why I scream
Please show me the spec of light
In this dark night
Take my hand, show me the way
show me the path to Heavens bath
Can i hold the golden key
Just to see
what it would be
To see freedom for a moment
to have no limitation
no regrets for actions
You've seen enough, time to go
back to my dark hole
but the door is left open
and this dream is my memory

Ways Now Frozen

Ways Now Frozen

Frozen amidst ancient eyes,
look closely, waters are rippling.
Cold thoughts freeze ancient ties.

Stringed fingertips leach forth,
with no slack, nooses tighten.
Freezing knots instigate fear.

Warmth and Frost juxtaposed,
melting frozen lines of thought,
will return ebb and flow.

Shelter from the storm

Shelter from the Storm

A bitter silence lashes out, Consuming peaceful thoughts, Darkness overcomes the light, Tho' it struggles all for naught...Misery maintains malice, Vengeance holds it's hand, Temperance has no place here, Lest punished in remand...Unjust acts prevail, Melancholy memories haunting, Wrath ferverently accepted, Perilous pursuit undaunting... Contrition is nonexistant, Mistakes without reform, Expression is the constant, Shelter from the storm.

Without You

Late at night when I close my eyes
I think of how things could've been
I try to push the thought of you away every time
but I can't seem to live without you
Everytime I think about you
tears start to come to my eyes
I wonder if you're thinking about me too
as I feel my heart breaking into pieces
It hurts so much to love someone
that don't feel the same way
Even after everything I've done
i've stuck around and gave you my all
I keep hoping you'll realize
that we do belong together
But one day I'm gonna open my eyes
and start living my life without you

The Emerald City

The Emerald City”

"I just sit here, will there be thoughts of Fear?
Those Ghosts of the past leer.

So let my head drift
And my thoughts be an open rift.

Chuggin' down the streams of Memory
A steamtrain carries me...

Baring my hands in my pockets,
I took a walk down the Sandy Shore
And began to think of her more.

She lay on the bed full of Hope and Thread;
One eye flutters open and my legs become like lead.

In her eye - far in the distance -
I witness the Emerald City:
Full of Lights and Dignity.

Her lid closes,
But I viewed a Soul that smelled of Roses."

Across The Pond

Across The Pond”

"In the morn'
I deeply yearn for a bleak day.

Blueberry eyes
Glance at the Skies -
I want to be rhapsodized.

Hours of Seven
Pull me closer to Heaven.
Life whistles by like the flick of a wand:
Wishing to be across the pond.

A hoary heart
And a sharpened mind
Won't save me from Death's eternal dart.

I've treaded sorrow and shame;
Loved those that came
In Sheep clothing -
Wolves underneath, ever-loathing.

My Heart is ready...
To be held at a steady.
Life is for living
As Love for giving.
I call "shotgun" now,
No longer a pitiful bow.

We're all Fishes,
And the Water is almost gone
Somwhere... Across the Pond"

Our Canvas

Our Canvas”

“Up, up high
Our canvas is the sky
- And we’re far from the prying eye

We swish and turn
Among the clouds of auburn

Down below is a world of dirt
Where handfuls are mixed with anger and hurt

But we’re held aloft by cherub wings
When the lovers below rest on their temporary flings

Barrel rolling past steamy zeppelins
Hand-in-hand we conquered the sky’s dragons

We laid a mattress of clouds on the moon
And her hair on my face made me swoon

My heart breaks when I view her sleep
She is life’s greatest pride and my angel of the deep

In the eve of day
We awoke to the sun’s golden ray”
